In this set of plots, there are four graphs
included that shared the same X-axis (date). The start date of
the plots
is the when the first
COVID-19 case appeared in San Diego (3/7/2020).
The plots track the
following three situations each day:
Plot 1: New confirmed cases and high
temperature by date
Plot 2: Rolling (14-day) average positive
cases among the tests
Plot 3: Total cases by date
Plot 4: Hospitalization, ICU, and death by
date
In the graphs, the
following annotations are marked by a vertical line representing
a certain date, as well as text boxes in different colors:
1. California and San Diego governmental
regulations/orders regarding COVID-19
2. Noteworthy new cases numbers (such as
Above 300, Above 400, Above 500, Above 600 daily, etc.)
In this set of plots, there are three
sets of graphs included with confirmed cases and deaths
(percentage) side by side with the following
three demographic
characteristics:
Plot 1-2: Confirmed cases and deaths by
age group
Plot 3-4: Confirmed cases and deaths by
gender
Plot 5-6: Confirmed cases and deaths by
race
Each plot includes
both the bar chart for the numbers and the rate per 100,000
population of the categories.
In this set of plots, there are four
graphs included regarding more detailed COVID-19 death
information
Plot 1: Case fatality rate together with
the number of cases for each age group
Plot 2: Number of deaths by age group and
gender
Plot 3 and 4: Violin plots
for age of death overall, and by gender
