Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic has expanded throughout the United States, schools have closed, many restaurants
have closed, and people's lives have overall been affected to some degree. It is also often broadcasted on the news and in
newspapers that COVID-19 cases are rapidly increasing in the US without signs of stopping.

Throughout this time, there have been many governmental announcements and regulations (both national and state issued).
Many of these governmental orders have affected the pandemic's situation and its curve, whether it be in a positive or a
negative way.

The goal of this website is to document COVID-19 data and its development in mainly San Diego, as well as comparing
its trends with California, the United States, and the world as a whole.
Data visualizations of collected data are incorporated to reflect
the impact of different factors, such as
temperature, government regulations, age,
gender, and ethnicity on the development of
COVID-19. By presenting their impacts to others, more and more people can
realize really how these factors are affecting their lives
during this pandemic. This is does not only apply to the current situation, but also could be used as a reference
for future times when
people look back on the impacts these factors have made on the pandemic and people's lives. By doing so, we are able to accumulate
experience and learn how to better deal with situations like this in the future, as well as continue to stay safe and do everything possible
to drive down the high numbers of COVID-19 cases.
